FROM INDIA, WITH LOVE.

WITH LOVE FROM INDIA...

Coming back to Mysore is always a challenge!
Huge hours of travel, a full day on airplanes and then a few more hours in a car that normally moves in mode of "speed" because it is conducted with Karnataka music in loud and clear sound, which is only interrupted by thousands and countless honks given by our driver. Who could perfectly  be in a computer game, because everytime a car appears,  the rule must be beeping, and he beeps, beeps and beeps, to show that we are on the road, he deviates from the car and continues on speed, because it should be the rule, and keep repeating the honks and deviating just with few millimeters from the each car, bike, truck, and what a truck! But we are so tired, that bring on the honks, the raids and the deviation by millimeters from trucks that seem real giants of the road, which compared with the car  where we are, makes you want to laugh, for not crying!

When we finally entered the streets of Gokulam, despite the sharp depletion of our faces, we smile, because we feel that we got home. We leave bags, notice the condition of the house we chose, we make a shopping list of needed items, to go out into the street to first of all, to drink our first coconut in front of Shala. It is still happening classes, and we note that we are in high season, there are many people waiting on the stairs out of the Shala, waiting to enter and start practicing ...We re-found some of our friends from other seasons, that have ended the practice, and are recovering liquids with the special and wonderful coconut water. We put our conversation in day until they tell me, that I should go and rest, which reminds me again that I have to go sleep! We walk on the streets in direction to the famous Ganesha temple, shot the photo that now seems to be the usual, day in, day out, there is an equal in the social networks, it seems that we are all looking for help, blessing of the gods, even if we are Catholics, Jews and even unbelievers in any religion! Mysore brings us to connect with the religion, we just get inspired by all these images, cults, rituals, and there we ask for help for the first class of tomorrow, but also to all others.

Another great moment is when we enter the Shala to sign up, look at our teacher directly for the first time after our last trip. Smiling to see the differences in this house of practice. There is no carpet to cover the floor, will not going to happen those classes, which happened to us when the carpets were there, and we stayed on the spot where they crossed with each other, true traps for the alignment in posture, real challenges to our mental limits that show closely, there is no perfect condition, there is what there is! And we practice, do our best and all will be well, even if we stayed in that place, on stage, or in the place in front of the entrance door. And only when I left the Shala, to go finally rest, I thought about it, not create expectations! Go to practice, put the mat, do my best, enjoy being in this house of practice, in this country,  and open my heart a little bit more.
WITH LOVE FROM INDIA ...
People from our home practice, do the same, stretch the mat, give your best and take advantage of the practice, of our home, which already I miss, our special country, to open a little more your heart.
Happy practicing!
