MUTE MODE

Practicing alone or in a crowded room with people around me, trying to find through Ashtanga Yoga, an experience of silence. There is always sound, the sound of my breathing, the movements of my body touching the mat under me, the feet of the teacher to step on the floor while moving from practitioner to practitioner, his voice low or high, when he gives some instruction, breaths and movements of others who are there like me, moving the body,  create space in the mind and stretch the soul.

But whether alone or be with so many around me,  there i´m or there we are, trying to live silence. Silence a bit this tricky thing that  is the mind, calming the fluctuations, neutralize the continuous stream of thoughts that are constantly taking us out of ourselves, blessed the Ashtanga, which brings us back to the inside, which shows like a true mirror,  the state we are. Often the sorry state in which we live, the physical condition of our body, the state of our poor, anxious, tired, confused mind, miserable state of our emotional, full of dents made from life, the almost non-existent state of our vital energy and the state of our spirit, that in many cases it seems that ran out of our body and  went to live outside. Bless the Ashtanga to bring us back, to unite all layers of our being, to listen not sounds but silence. To live on  "mute" at least a few breaths, that practice by practice, day after day, month, year multiply by various postures and passages between them, and i like to believe that later surpass the limits of our mats, the school of Yoga,  that expand to an entire day.

That's what i like in Ashtanga, gives me the opportunity to be silent, silent inside. And when I find myself in eager anxiety,  i remember my preferred position, this one that is up here, Baddha Konasana, is one that i can get the 5 breaths,  20, 30, 5 minutes, maybe more... just breathing and repairing with a smile as the body gets loose, how the anxiety disappears, which no longer has any place to hold... and comes back the silence and back the notion that this is how i want to live peacefully quiet.
Happy practicing!
