THE TIP...

Aqui fica a dica...
Boas práticas!

For some time I've been to recall or correct the position of the arms and shoulders on the postures Adho Mukha and Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, especially because they are positions that we most use in our sequences and should actually be done with more attention and alignment to protect our body and create the foundation for a stable and lasting practice.

For those who still did not understand the internal and external rotation of the arm in these two positions, David Robson explains in this short video how to do it. It is a simple film that uses some humor, but speaks of something very relevant and important to protect our shoulders. Our practice of Ashtanga Yoga is essentially based on the expansion of our consciousness and expansion of our breath and its synchronization with the movements and postures. Not intend to create a mechanical practice, fixed in exaggeration of rationality of putting the body in positions, because the positions are born of our breath. On the other hand, without a technical knowledge of the postures and how to do them correctly, we ended up running the risk of creating an unbalanced practice and huge prone to injuries.

Here is the tip ...
Happy practicing!
