# BREAK THE CHAIN

We all pass through difficult times, for  complicated ones, that suffocate our soul, embitter and massacre our minds and weaken our body. The days pass and more we try to turn the page and start again, we just to continue influenced by a run of bad luck, by fate, by karma, by life. We lie down on the bed with the head dealing, feeling mitigated and tired and with a small soul, for opening our eyes in the next morning, with no energy to move your body and very little will  to try to get around the situation we are living. There we pass for one, two, three, four or more days, feeling stress, irritation, walking from one side to the other trying to figure out what needs to be resolved. Life seems to be breaking up into pieces. And then we have the urge to call our teacher, we didn´t show up in the Shala for weeks, on the other side she greets us by our own name, with a friendly Hello, she is so tough in the class, but she has visible tender side. There we find ourselves to tell what's going on, we do not say everything, but almost everything, and she listens to us,  that we miss practicing,  that maybe we could break this current difficult chain with the practice. And she confirms our thinking, saying, that it is in the most difficult times that the Ashtanga tends to help. No matter what we do, how many positions we practice, but the fact that we breathe,  joining body and mind on the mat  to live the present moment, allows for a stop and a change of energy within ourselves.
The next day I went to Shala, put the mat on the floor, in the back of the room, the teacher told me quietly, just to myself, "Try it. One breath with movement. Allow yourself to enter in the breath you already know,  in movements and postures you already know. Just breathe Patricia, just try. And when you feel that you have to stop, independently where you are in sequence, stop, lie down and rest. " I started, one breath after another, one movement after another breaking the chain I've been living...
