OBRIGADA PETER SANSON.

**********
These are a few of the words that will remain in the memories of everyone who came to this room to practice in the presence of Peter Sanson. It was four days of Mysore Style, with a warm, deep and totally inspiring teacher, who through his experience, and with respect to the tradition of shri K. Pattabhi Jois, brought us so much internal knowledge, accentuating the true meaning of a Yoga practice.
He started by reminding us that our Ashtanga Yoga practice should have Vinyasa, Dristhis and Bandhas. To cultivate a conscious, fluid breath with sound linked with movements and poses which are thread together with a fixed gaze, the dristhis, and energetic locks, the bandhas. Thereafter, he pointed our the importance of releasing tension; that we shouldn´t push ourselves, that we should have patience and respect for our mind and body. He showed us a reality which the practitioner normally forgets; that we need to be present, present in the moment, in the now and accept how we are, how our mind and body are in a particular practice, on a particular day. That we shouldn´t enter into silliness and distraction of the wanting, pushing and forcing more to achieve a certain pose. That Ashtanga Yoga is not synonymous with exhaustion, fatigue or an unsettled nervous system, but characterized by energy, vitality and focus. He spoke about cultivating a practice on and off our mats, as a vehicle to bring us back to our own nature, working with compassion for ourselves and others. He explained to us, through his more than 30 years of practice, that our Ashtanga Yoga is something very beautiful, when done with the proper intention, an internal intention, and which favors the bringinf of our mind and body into our heart.

It was four days, only four days, of a deep experience, a lot of learning, through observation of his conduct, the way he interacted with each practitioner, his indication on and off the mat, the way he touched and adjusted each student, the way he directed the focus of the practice to something that overcame the physical and entered directly into the inner sphere.
It was four days, only four days, of admiration and gratitude for having this opportunity to study with someone who has his heart in the right place, who has extensive knowledge of this practice, which passes from the poses and addresses our soul. It was four days, only four days, of total surrender to a teacher who brough the energy of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage, which brought with it the marvelous presence of Sharath, Saraswati and Guruji to this room... It was four days, only four days, where we felt that here is a teacher who follows the lineage and is part of the lineage.
Thank you Peter Sanson.
